Is this something that just started? Or an ongoing problem?

On going and at&t says they are putting up more towers to help with this. I was hoping that there was something I could do until towers are up(who knows how long this will be).

Not much you can do if anything. Keep complaining to AT&T

You would have to check and see if they are actually planning to improve coverage in your area.. but there isn't much anyone here could do about it unless it's isolated to your iPhone which means the network is eliminated. You can get one of those Microcells when they release them to all markets.

Which part of town do you live? I've been getting good reception in my house on the west side on Grant and I10, as well as decent reception in the Rita Ranch area.
Are the problems primarily inside the house? Or do you get a reception when you step outside (some houses have a tendency to block wireless signals).

Mostly in the house. If I go outside it's better but sometime I have to go about 10 steps before it gets good.
