i am on the family talk data plan for 10/month.

I use a 2G, 3G, Blackberry Bold and a Nokia 5800, switching often. ALL of them work perfectly fine.

I think you have to unlock if you're not on the official data plan, try to reset your network settings if you haven't already.

What's the custom IPCC thing? How many people are using the 10 dollar plan, since I don't mind using this if there's some way I can hide myself or if it's some normal thing everyone does but ATT isn't bothering to catch them.

but would changing your iPhone's IMEI number work? lets say i have a regular ATT phone (Nokia, Motorola, LG,...) and change the IMEI Number from the iPhone to one of those, att should just be detecting that there is a non-iPhone being used. Right?

Changing IMEI number is very simple and easy to do, but illegal, just like tampering with VIN# on automobiles...

How can you change it on the new 3.0

also im on the $10 plan for a looong time.

They will send you messgages saying it won't work on a certain date but it still does. It's all a bluff!!!

so after talking to a couple of people (iphone experts) they say that any IMEI can be changed regardless of the FW. but when i asked to see if they would do it or show me how to they declined. But it can be done. one of the suggestion was to actually unlock the iphone that way it would not ask for a verification of a "contract"

Edit: or to have a 2g iphone b/c att does not verify that those are on a contract with the $30 per month

as far as the $10 i thought i was for the entire family plan but its 10 per line. i do not know how exactly to get it on without att knowing that i have an iphone.
