MMS on original iPhone data plan

since yesterday's release of MMS, my dad hasn't had much luck with sending/receiving, back in '07, my dad was one of the first to get an iPhone. A month ago i decided to rack up some money to buy him a 3G[s] from ebay, non-jailbroken, non 'snowed. we activated successfully, and had no prompt to change his plan. I updated the carrier settings last night (@ 7 PM, CT).

My question to you guys is, does MMS work for him if he's on the original iPhone plan (19.99)? because i've been trying and trying.

You may want to call ATT and ask them why its not working.
