How to get MMS with 3.0

Any one know how to get MMS working without upgrading to 3.1? What are the exact directions and files i need?

Yeah see unless the ATT setting patch meant for 3.1 works on 3.0 then thats not gunna help...I am in the same boat as sandstorm77, I have 3.0 jailbroken and I use Windows and cant upgrade to 3.1 and jailbreak because there is still no deb team tool to jailbreak 3.1 on Windows but I want my MMS activated.

It is ******** that I should have to upgrade in the first place though given that firmware 3.0 is the firmware release that supposedly made the iPhone MMS capable. And I dont want 31 with all the reported issues like Coma Mode and crappier battery life.

i got it working with my 3gs on 3.0. Type this **** into your settings. And don't forget to restart your phone. And that link i provided before does work with 3.0. People have confirmed it in the comments.

It's just like the top but a little bit different. Just incase it didn't work.

I went here and used this step by step to do it. The site says you should have 3.1 but I just did it on my 3GS running 3.0 and it worked perfectly I sent a test pic and used another phone to send myself a test pic and they send and receive fine. This is the step by step to update the ATT IPCC to the newest version.

iPhone Update - MMS - 9.25.09

I used this link from another post, and just added the settings manually to the 5.0 carrier file. works great. Still running 3.0 too.

Thanks niZmo v2. You are the ****! I followed your instructions and restarted my phone, but didn't see the camera icon. I went to settings-messages and MMS was there, just turned off. Turned it on and BAM!! Had the camera icon and MMS enabled on iphone 3g running 3.0 firmware. This is my first post on this forum and its just to thank you. Late.
