So.. no more 2G MMS?

I'm starting to see only tutorials for MMS for 3G\3GS.

What happened to some people getting the 2G to work with MMS?

Am I just wasting time trying to get my MMS to work on the 2G?
[no iphone plan\i have regular phone internet and family unlimited messaging]

mms will not be available for the 2g but you can get swirly mms if you jb and get it from cydia

there is a hack in cydia to enable mms on your 2g. i like swirly a little better because i record alot of audio and send it to people (i play guitar) if i use the swirly voice recorder it encodes 3gp i believe which means non iphone users can recieve it. otherwise apple mms is only good for sending pics, or sending between iphones

the hack for mms doesnt seem to work if you up dated to 3.1 so stick with swirly

@amini9-have you tried it yet....? Is it worth the upgrade Price? I have been using Swirly for a while and have no issues with it. It is a great product.Isn't it?
But I really wanted a feedback from anyone who tried the new version.

i upgraded to 3.1 yeah.

I mean i guess i could drop down, but whatever. I'll forget about MMS or get Swirly.

2G MMS w/ ActiveMMS2G and Stealth's 5.0 carrier file; 3.0 firmware; family messaging plan working here (San Diego).

Has anyone else had problems downloading ActivateMMS 2G? I get a size mismatch error everytime I try to download it in Cydia. I would really appreciate it if anyone can help resolve this problem!!!

How do you jailbreak your iphone 2g ( OS 3.1) with a PC, so I can get a MMS?

I keep searching on the internet, and I keep finding it only for macs.

this sucks 2g 3.0 with 5.1 ipcc and cydia. i have the picture message icon but once i try to send it wont send keeps saying failure to send sucks

Problem is on the txt plan on the old 2G iphone plan! I hate it why they have to opt out MMS!!!

well, after looking around for about 2 weeks i finally got mms to work on my iphone 2g 3.1. all i did was install swirly mms2 got my setting rebooted and i was done. Now i can send mms's on my 2g jb'n tmobile iphone,plus i can also send video clips too

.

First add repo.*****************/ repo on cydia
Second DL and install swirly mms2
Third the mms set up wizard would not connect just kept saying couldn't connect to server,so i had to put the settings in myself. Most common tmobile mms setting are

APN: wap.voicestream.com
MMSC:216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
The rest is blank, but these didn't work for me so i kept looking and found these:

1. APN:wap.voicestream.com
2. Username and Password should default or blank
3. MMSC:http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
4. MMSProxy:216.155.165.50:8080
5. MMSMaxMessageSize: blank or default
6. MMSUAProfURL: blank or default

Worked perfectly!!!!!
