Dada.net Scam
I was just looking at my cell phone bill and noticed I was being charged $9.99 a month for ringtones and wallpapers and all kinds of other **** that I never applied for. I could be wrong but is there anyway to get a ringtone on my iphone besides itunes (minus cydia or icy)? Anyway just curious if anyone else has had this happen to them. I saw there was a scam by this company 2 years ago but nothing new. I've called At&t but of course they are closed.....

First! Never join a website that would ask you your cell Num, in order to download music or ringtones! that's the biggest scam for cell phones!
Here is a page, if you want to join feel free, but you are able to download their ringtone to your pc, then use itunes to sync, or iFunbox, or download toneshope in here : Techlogg.com
ringtones here: Free ringtones, themes, wallpapers, videos and games for your cell phone | Zedge or even here are a few nice tones

you can make a ringtone fairly easy.
You take the file in tunes, clip it with the time feature for about 30s...once you do that, you convert it to a .AIFF file. This can be done with itunes or whatever program you see fit. I use DBpoweramp.
Once you have the .aiff file, you unhide "hide extensions for files" (thats if you using windows) and rename the file to a .m4r
Example...
Ringtone.aiff
rename to -
Ringtone.m4r
Now make SURE you the extension renamed and not adding it to the .aiff at the end.
Once you have that file, drag and drop it to the ringtone section of itunes and sync...boom...you just made your own ringtone =)

This same thing happened to a co-worker. You can get all the charges back from them. Call AT&T and they will tell you the Company and phone number that you are getting these charges from then you will have to battle with them for a refund. Stand your ground and demand a refund, it works.

Had it happen to me. AT&T was very good to remove it and credited my account

Gotta watch the small print lol. Love seeing those commercials and seeing it say you have to text stop or something to not be charged a monthly fee.
