MMS on 3.0.1 AT&T issue can't get working.

OK I have searched here and other sites for a couple of days.

I have been hacking and unlocking my phone since the beginning. I usually don't have to post new threads, but I could not find an answer to my question.

I have a 2G with 3.0.1 firmware on AT&T.
I have installed ActivateMMS2G on my phone and rebooted numerous times. I do not get the MMS field to turn on or the MMS feature in settings.

I do not get Cellular Data Network to enter the APN information.

I installed APN editor and still do not get Cellular Data Fields to edit and can not for the life of me get the MMS feild in the message setting.

Looking for a little help. Sorry if his has been posted before about this issue. If anyone can point me to the right thread I would greatly appreciate it.

Can this be done?

I have successfully installed ActivateMMS2G on other phones just this one with 3.0.1 firmware I'm having problems with.

Under About in the General Tab in Settings you should have AT&T 5.0 if not thats it

Thanks I have 4.0. is there a way to update with out using itunes.

I don't get an upgrade prompt for these settings.

I found how to make a custom ipcc file Carrier Bundle Generator iPhone OS 3.0 (ipcc)

it recommends that you not do it if you are on a "legit iphone partner contract."

I am on legit contract but i have a phone with a cracked screen(picked it up cheap on craigslist) that I use when going on vacation, going near water, amusement park, trying the newest hacks etc. so it is hactivated.

Well I guess I'll give it a shot.

KelvinalF thanks for getting me the reason why it would not work. I'll guess i'll pull the trigger on this one.

Tried it out and got Cellular Data network but killed my internet connection. So I wont worry about it for now.

^i don't think they've confirmed mms with 3.1 yet, have they? I usually keep up on this but I've been on vacation.

What you have to do is input the MMS information in the Cellular Data Network menu in Settings and then restart the phone. The MMS camera should appear in the SMS App after that.
