Now I'm taking no credit on creating this. I used two topics here to get it working and I'm going to write up a little guide on how i did it. But all credit goes to these two people:
jackaboood
StealthBravo
Basically First what i did was used Bravo's Guide, instead of using itunes to put in the carrier update, ssh in using iPhoneBrowser navigate to: '/private/var/mobile/library/Carrier Bundle.bundle'
and replace files with ones from the new ATT zip folder. (Links be at bottom)
After that I Just took the sim card out for a while switched over to a normal phone, called AT&T had them switch to a normal unlimited plan and in the mean time signed up for mymedianet.
After that i returned to the normal phone sent and received a call and mms and worked fine. I switched back the SIM to the i phone and then used rockabroood thread. Going in to Cellular Network Settings and editing the MMS fields with exactly what was in the picture. (Link at bottom) After that refreshed the phone sent MMS and received MMS several times. Looked this morning my plan did switch back to Iphone Unlimited but I'm still able to send and receive MMS.
So there you have it hopefully what I did is detailed enough for someone else to understand or even help out since some of us are having trouble.
If you take username and password out(leave them blank) and change the proxy to: 66.209.11.32 You will have no problems sending with wifi on or off. I did the same thing u did like 8 months ago and haven't had ne problems at all (swirly or native3.0). I also have never ran into these "sweeps/checks" that people speak of, never lost mms since either. Also I'd hold on to the phone used to change account "just in case". Have been told once from someone at AT&T cust. serv. That I may see data charges on medianet unlimited with the iphone, never have n average 3-5 gig a month. You should be good to go now.
Okay I'll try that out but I don't see how medianet will have anything todo with it the tier 2 rep says it uses it but doesn't matter about the data plan. Also tonigh I'll be editing this and adding in some stuff i've had mention by fellow mmi users.
