3gs ipc 5.0
How do you get your 3gs on AT&T 5.0?
Everytime I update the IPCC settings I lose my 3G connection. It doesn't come back until I delete the settings.
Anyone else have similar problems? What's the point of 5.0?

How are you even getting .ipcc into iTunes? Everytime I try, it only pulls up .ispw files.

you need to edit your iTunes in cmd line to allow ipcc's to be used. there are guides all around

I just googled it. I still can't figure out what the difference is in 4.0 and 5.0, or why we even need 5.0
I'm also hesitant to update because last time I did I lost my 3g

ok.. 5.0 is an updated ipcc that people have modded to allow the use of tethering and mms, etc.
i do not remember where i found it, or what the command is that you enter into the run > command box to tell itunes to allow you to see the ipcc.. but it's here in the forums somewhere..
anyway, http://www.modmyi.com/forums/t/56587...-0-iphone.html
is where SB post the 5.0 and what it does

Go here: help.benm.at (Use your iphone internet browser)then look for your ATT settings, and that's all! but be advice, it might work at the beginning
then it might die until ATT starts its serivce!
or either go here from cydia, just add this repo: repo.*****************
once you are there look for MMS & TEthering Settings and install, then reboot!

Well I tried the above and it didnt work. Maybe its because Im still on 4.0.
I found this http://randomcritic.com/?p=147 but I cant figure out how to do that crap.
Im mainly stuck here...Windows – open up a command shell and type in: (command prompt)(open Run and then type in cmd)
then word for word type in this
“%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
Guess Im not doin it

Have you tried my posted one!
Is your cell phone jailbroken! do you know how to add a repo in cydia! becuase it does work, even the one that you can upgrade from your iphone safari browser!
just check your setting after reboot!
Settings/General/Network <--- here you will see your Tether settings!/Cellular Data Network <--- in here you will see your MMS settings
Now my last post of the day!
Download this: http://www40.megaupload.com/files/e1...cf3/ATT_US.zip
Now unzip it! use either i-Funbox or iPhoneBrowser 191 and place it with in here;
RooT/private/var/mobile/library/Carrier Bundle.bundle (over right the old bundle with the ones you just downloaed(first make a back up of the old one) after that just reboot. then check your settings!
If this don't work!
Buy a Nokia N97 or a HTC Omnia HD! LOLLast edited by gordo2150; 07-07-2009 at 04:46 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Can someone upload the proper 5.0 AT&T IPCC for us to use?

What I did was to copied my ATT bundle, but my phone is Factory unlocked! so I don't go through the headache of most! I have a sim from an ATT cell that has mediaNet and MMS activated.

Once I updated to 5.0 I was able to send MMS no problem. I don't even have the cellular network page and didn't have to mess with anything.
BUT now my 3G connection doesn't work.. Same thing happened last time. Why is that? How do I get my 3G connection back??
I can confirm that MMS works on 5.0 though I just wan't my 3G!!
Update: Okay so because my 3G wasn't working on 5.0 I downgraded to 4.9 and instantly my 3G same back. Now I can still send pictures. I'm trippin out, but I'm guessing the verdict is get 4.9!Last edited by illuminatty; 07-08-2009 at 11:58 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
