Hey ATT guys quick question

If you have ATT and want to just buy a new 3GS they will try to get you into a contract right? But what if you already bought a 3GS and signed the contract can you buy a 2nd 3GS without any other contracts? The reason I ask is have T Mobile and my friends have ATT I want to buy mine though them and not have to pay 600 bux duhh haha any suggestions?

What Simtech said. Since the person probably used the upgrade on their account they would have to open another line or pay full price.
