Guide: MMS and Tethering working with AT&T on 3.0 iphone

I just talked to att and confirmed that all the setting are right. So anyone figure why it wont work? It was last night

guys i cant get tethering working on my Macbook.
I have mms working great for a month because i had to get it provisioned when i started using swirly and its worked fine since.

but any ideas on the tethering? i updated carrier file.i switch tethering to on,and its not showing up in airport under devices.

if you have ATT i wouldn't tether, you get a huge phone bill.

I am still on the iphone data plan.

If it stops working remember to reset network settings

Ya be carful tethering. I only use it for small stuff. Downloading, playing games, P2P, etc would be a bad idea. Web browsing is fine tho since you can browse the web fully in the iPhone. Same thing with YouTube and email. Sucking down a 800MB DVDRip from usenet or torrents might not be the best idea. Lol.

I have tried the network reset like 5 times and I still get the red "!"

It was working great last night.

I want me MMS working... this sucks!!

i couldn't get it working for the life of me and then all of a sudden yesterday both mine and the wifes iphones started working hers has swirly mine on beta 2 and both jailbroken i dont know what happened but im stoked lol

i called AT&T and they said they can't do anything for me as far as MMS they said call apple..

just decided to give them a call for the hell of it and see what I could do cause I was already on the unlimited family messaging bundle and iphone data so I called, first time got a cool guy that knew exactly what I wanted to do and within less than 10 minutes my mms is sending and recieveing! he said I should be could for a couple of weeks and that if it gets swept to call back and to have them just resend the ota!

Went to a att store today. Showed the guy my phone.
Steve: Looks like you have an iphone 3g.
Me: Yeah, can you set up mms for me?
Steve: Well that isnt on the iphone.
Me: How bout you take a closer look at that phone.
Steve: Ummm.... am i missing something?
Me: No, not many people notice until they see something unsual. That is 3.0 beta 2
Steve: This must be pirated software.
Me: No thats the real deal, straight from apple(cause it is). I then had to explain the whole registration with apple to develope and test apps for the app store.
Steve: Well if its not working then it is an issue with apple and you should probably go to their store across the street.
Me: Can you change settings to my account here?
Steve: Such as?
Me: I tell him the snooper, and then the ota
Steve: im not allowed to mess with any of those settings. They are blocked from our computers.

Well every employee played with 3.0 beta 2 they got the biggest kick out of landscape texting. Pretty funny. But still no luck. So thats 12 calls and 1 store. The MMS gods hate me....

Yea, the stores cant do crap. Neither can lower level csrs (611). Got to be tier two techs
