I've yet to get bluetooth tethering to work. I can USB tether, but that only works if you have the SDK installed. That could be part of your problems.

i have yet to try tethering. Gimme about 20 minutes and i'll get back to you on that.
On a side note does anyone know how they turn off the MMS? It seems to happen over night so what if i took my sim out of my iphone at night and left it in my RAZR then put it back in my iphone at say 6:15 every morning? Yes, I really want my MMS to work...

yes but they didnt do this till last night. Not during the day. And it was late last night cause i went to bed around 11:50 and the last text i sent was an mms. Im gonna try and get it working again later on tonight and then try out my little switcharoo and see if that keeps it working.

It went off for me once. I put the sim back in my old phone and let it sit for 30 minutes, sent a mms and then popped it back in the iphone and it worked again. Been working for a day since then

Cant seem to get tethering to work. The phone never disappears from devices in iTunes and no network interface pops up. Maybe im not doing it right? I turn on the tethering switch in the settings on the phone then plug it in via usb. After that nothing happens. Any ideas. Using Itunes 8.1.0.52 on windows vista home premium.

I have a quick question. If I already have swirleyMMS working and update to 3.0, will the MMS work for att right off the bat withOUT taking out my SIM..? I have already called att and had them get my MMS working with swirleys and I have been sending & receiving MMS's for months now but I know if I take out my SIM it will NOT work anymore. So I'm wondering if by performing the update, will I lose my MMS all together.

I'm getting an error in iTunes when I try to update the carrier settings. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm using a 3g iPhone with jailbroken 3.0 beta 2.
Thanks.

I got on the At&t Customer Service chat this morning and Tried to get them to enable MMS with the excuse of using my Tilt for a project at work this week and it had some features I was needing that the iPhone didnt have. Tried to sound legit. Anyway, the Lady told me there was no way that they could enable MMS for an iPhone account.
So I asked what solution they had for me and she said she could switch my account to the Tilt and when I was done I could call At&t and switch back.
I had them switch my account, told them my sim was already in the Tilt, she made the changes to the PDA Unlimited account and told me to leave my phone off for at least 10 minutes. I was already putting my sim back into the iPhone as the conversation was ending. I waited about 5 minutes, logged onto my At&t account and tried to cancel the PDA data plan and apply the iPhone data plan but it wouldnt let me.
The odd thing is everything on the iPhone works great. Data, MMS, Visual Voicemail. We'll see how long it works.....so far...so good.
