Guide: MMS and Tethering working with AT&T on 3.0 iphone

Yesterday, using the latest ipcc file and the first set of instructions (thanks StealthBravo), mine is working perfect.*

*I did switch my text messaging off the iphones and onto the regular unlimited when my SIM was in the Moto L7.

I have 3.0 Beta 4, visual voicemail and full internet.

My only concern is I logged in today and it is still showing my Moto L7 as my phone and no data package. Even though everything works as mentioned above, I wonder what my bill is going to be.

My mms was working on 3.0 beta 3 after I used the ipcc file. After I restored it to 3.0 beta 4 my mms was still working without using the ipcc file. Why, and does that file get stored in your backup. I'm glad it's still working though.

I can't get MMS to work, but tethering works. The message always fails to send.

att is closed so i cant add mms now but when i go to the text app it dosn't show the camra thing there would that only show up after i try calling att?

Go to Settings>Messages and make sure the MMS option is set to On.

yea im not working either, on 3g OS 3.0 b4, called ATT and I was told they don't have the ability to enable the WAP feature. I told them I was a dev and they said sorry.

Like StealthBravo said, if they won't do it for you, just call back later and you might get a nicer rep.

yea, i'll try later, i just don't get why some will and some won't. if i can't get around them enabling for iphone, what do i say to get off iphone data and just unlimited data, text and mms?

The problem with that is you will lose your visual voicemail without the iphone data plan. I had mine shut off a couple weeks ago after it worked for 4 weeks and had to call back. It took me at least 12 calls to get someone who would do it. They are a pain.

i upgraded the ipc file then made a couple calls, when i logged into my phone account on att website like 15 min later and it shows your device it wasnt showing iphone anymore it was showing the phone i had the sim in. so i went to account options and changed the texting from iphone text to regular unlimited texting reset the phone and i could mms from that phone popped it in the iphone and i was able to finally mms

i did the ipcc thing but the button aint there
the settings for mms is in network but not in messages
yes after i flashed it i restarted it
any sugestions

i cant get the setting there or the icon no matter what

so swirlymms has been working on my iPhone for about 5 months now, but I can't seem to get the multimedia messages to work on beta 4.

any suggestions?

Are you on AT&T? If you are MMS won't work (even though some people say it does, I've never been able to get it to work).

for some reason the ipcc package is greyed out when I tried to update. is it because it is for beta 3 and I am on beta 4?

Stelth, what are the settings that you're using for apn 1/2/3? i know you listed which items are toggled on for each one, but what about apn/user name/pw?
