I'm not sure if you'll get discounted if you're using the first generation iphone (try it out nonetheless), but you can get a discount for your voice and data plan for the iphone 3g. (this discount does not only apply to users with iphones, check out the discounted packages/rate plans, even on family plans)

I love ATT's discount programs. One of the BIG reasons I am a customer and left verison. 12% on Verizon vs 20% on ATT.

All you need is a FIN number of someone who is active there. Its based on the amount of employees the company has with the service.

Check with people you know who are ATT customers and have a corporate discount or ask a local rep to hook you up.
