Default **How To: Set # of secs call goes to voicemail

This is useful for people using Video Ringtones via vWallPaper or people annoyed that their calls go to voicemail after 15 seconds. Do these steps to configure the time calls go to voicemail via the phone withougt having to call AT&T.

    Works only for AT&T!

    1. On your phone, dial *#61# and click Send (For the Noobs that'll be the call button).

    2. Some information should be displayed: number that the calls are being forwarded to and the delay before the forwarding engages.

    3. Write down the number (including +1)

    4. Dial **61*+1xxxyyyzzzz*11*30# and hit Send (For the Noobs that'll be the call button).

+1xxxyyyzzzz is the number you wrote down previously.

Make sure you include the +1xxxyyyzzz. 30 is the delay in seconds. The delay can be set in 5 second increments, 30 seconds is maximum. For example it can only be increased in 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 seconds!

    5. Dial *#61# to verify that the new settings are active.

Call yourself and watch your video ringtone or listen to your custom ringtone. It will play longer now.

    Good Luck

This works for T-Mobile USA. *#61# returns 18056377243. So, **61*18056377243*30# sets 30 seconds.

A good medium? I think MORE than 30 seconds. Years ago, our phones would ring for 45-60 seconds. From a computing point of view, making a phone ring is equivalent to talking (maybe more). A long time ago, cellular companies realized if they shorten the maximum, their revenues would increase (more people checking voicemail). One thing is universal ..... companies never do anything for free.

I just put mines to 30 seconds because I actually like to look at the music video that plays when someone calls me.
