Settings are fine, it worked perfect when i called and told them to add the MMS. Same deal for tehreaper!

Are you guys on a family plan?

Also about the settings not being correct, i put the sim in my SLVR and i got the user barred message. So it's definately not settings

Well it worked perfect for both of us for a day...

Now the next day no more.

TehReaper called back today and they told him the system resets it every night and there's no way around it!

So Swirly is not possible on AT&T legit iPhones...
See my post here: http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum...d-t-24506.html

Seems to be the only workaround right now really. I did the same thing calling up...but instead of adding the pay per message, I got the regular unlimited messaging plan added that is NOT the iPhone + unlimited texting plan; I added iPhone + 200 package plus the unlimited texting.

YMMV

Well thsnks to TehReaper we've figured it out.

In order to get it to work you can put your iPhone on a family plan and add the iPhone data plan to you iPhone of course.

Add the family messaging plan and viola! MMS on the iPhone WITH Visual Voicemail! =]

I'm interested to know Nate, do you know if that is a regular Family plan? There is an iphone specific Family Plan that includes the data plan, but the same problem may arise in trying to add MMS. I'm guessing you're talking about the reg. Family Plan though.

Yeah, i have the regular family plan with 550 minutes. Then i had them add the unlimited data to only my iPhone (which as far as they know it's a RAZR)

SwirlyMMS will not work on an iPhone that has been activated legit through itunes. Apple blocks that sim from sending and receiving mms. Take the original sim out and unlock the iPhone, put your own existing AT&T sim you already had from another AT&T phone that already can send and receive mms. Then put it in a unlocked iPhone, it will work fine with no problems.

Wow, great answers guys. One question, I assume following these provisions theres no visual voicemail, other than that everything is normal on the iPhone?

Cool well, one last thing, WHY IS APPLE AND/OR ATT making it so hard to do MMS!?!? ANYONE KNOW? I'm confounded that the most cutting edge phone (IMO) on the market doesn't have freaking MMS! You can't even access the stupid site without going to a computer!

WHY!? What is the motivation? I'm sure it's something shady....

Apple feel its no need for it. Just use email? Well most my friends and family don't email from they phone, they use MMS! Apple don't care what we think, its what important to them and mms isn't.
