iPhone 2G + Prepaid-$1/day voicemail fee Questions

hope this question wasn't asked before. I have a iphone 2G(unlocked) and I'm thinking of goig back to ATT as a GoPhone $1/day customer.

My questions are:
1. $1/day plan include unlimited M2M, does this mean I check my voicemail for free as well?
2. Is there a Tax or fees associated with use? (i.e $25 = 25days?, assumming I call only ATT customer and voicemail)

1: no, you have to pay .10 per minute to hear your voicemail
2: no taxes, $15 lasts a month, $25, $50, and $75 lasts 3 months, $100 lasts a year
