GoPhone SIM in iphone 3g - IMEI needed?
I want to use a new Go Phone "pay as you go" SIM on my unlocked iphone 3g. When activating the SIM online on AT&T website, can I use a bogus IMEI #?
I dont want to use my real IMEI # as the iphone is registered with a canadian carrier (rogers), and I will be using in the USA.

Use the IMEI number that came with your go phone. That's what I did.

do you have any old phones you could grab the IMEI# off of? That's what I'd do.
2G iPhone:8Gb/unlocked/T-Mobile/T-Zones ($5.99)/FW2.2.1(5H11)
LOST in the frozen backcountry of Copper Mountain, CO
iPhone: 3G/8Gb/unlocked/T-Mobile/T-zones ($5.99)/FW3.1.2
Mac: because two mouse buttons are scary.

Yeah I will try that with an old phone.. Does ATT check if you use a GoPhone SIM in a non-GoPhone handset?
I wonder if I will have to unlock my iPhone (now activated on Rogers Wireless Canada) to use the ATT GoPhone SIM?

You could always be sneaky and go to Radioshack, copy the imei number off one of their go phones they sell and use that. I'm being bad by telling you this.
Lol, I would love to be there to see if they catch you. Lol, the look on your face but all jokes aside just borrow someones IMEI I don't think it will matter honestly.Last edited by gQstatus05; 01-08-2009 at 06:38 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
