Please Help (Urgent) - WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $1,129.82
So I got my iPhone 2G phone bill last week, with the following entry:
WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE 112982 112982 $0.01/KB $1,129.82
I have an unlocked cell, do not use the data plan and have been using internet through my school/home wireless network only.
Can someone please explain what the hell happened? Do I actually have to pay this? Where did I go wrong?

Call AT&T and tell them you didn't use the internet besides the wifi. Tell them you are willing to pay for the data plan if they can waive those charges.

thanks guys.. i'll try calling them right away..
Edit:
I do not have edge on my iPhone, I just tried to disable it but realized it is not there. I cannot use the internet without a local wifi present.
I hope I am making sense

This just isn't true... you will simply need to get onto the correct plan. it is an automated billing that you got, based on the fact that you are using an iphone on ATT (no matter what they REQUIRE you to use the iphone plan if you want to use ATT service). Tell them you are willing to switch to the data plan and they will waive those fees.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

Yeah... same thing happened to me... I ran up a huge data bill with my HTC 8525 and called and the CSR told me she would waive the fees if I signed up for an unlimited data plan. Damn right, I signed up... they didn't have to pull my leg!

Hey guys, I finally got the charges reversed.
CC was wonderful, I had called them last week and told them abt the issue, the lady was really sweet and said let me look into it, the bill obviously does not look right, finally she said she'd get it reversed. I got the money refunded yesterday. No need to lie or sign on additional packages
Thanks you guys.. hope this would help others too

Who said anything about lying. We just stated to agree to add the feature so the charges could be waived.
