I got the same thing. I have had my Iphone since the very first one. Unlocked, with the cheapest unlimited data plan. Have NEVER gotten this before, but frankly, I dont care. I'll find out in September. THis seems to me it would be a breach of contract since I did sign up for a data plan. Just my .02 worth....

I got the same thing. I have had my iPhone forever. First with T-Mobile then oveer to AT&T. A friend of mine who works for AT&T told me today that the main way they figure out you are using an iPhone or other PDA for that matter is your data usage. I am going over to the AT&T store where he works tomorrow and getting a used phone capable of tethering. I will them put my sim in that phone and call AT&T and tell them I don't have an iPhone I am using (insert cheap tethering capable phone here)for tethering. This way IF they can hit the IMEI while I am on the phone with them they get the cheap phone. I will let you all know how the conversation goes. And to answer your question about breach of contract. Since I pay for a data plan I am not in breach of contract. I started with AT&T with a Motorola RAZR and simply switched the sim. I then like an idiot sent the RAZR to my sister otherwise I wouldnt have to go thru this whole process. So in my opinion and I am not a lawyer, I just play one on the internet

I'm all good and screw AT&T. The negative press from the hundreds of thousands of jailbroken and unlocked iPhone users would be a beotch for them.....
