I should have made that "ATT customer service is horrible," but what the hell. Let's face it..anyone remember when the phone first came out...the thing dropped calls like crazy. Dont be an as*hole boxxa

Oh yeah, on the 63" Apple TV comment...I went out and bought a new 63" TV and if Apple would have sold a flat screen model that big, I would have bought it from Apple.

How am I an ******* becuase I asked you how the Apple store worker as you claimed made fun of you and what that had to do with ATT sucking?

Seriously. Dont break your phone. The first thing I did when I got my iPHone was call ATT and ask them if I broke it what happens and the told me "You need to buy a new one at retail."

Don't say the company sucks becuase you break phones weekly. Personally, if you are so accident prone, maybe you should look into a JitterBug phone and stop complaining about the iPhone and ATT.

I followed this thread from the first post. First not sure why we need to know about you having a domestic partner. Second I do not understand why special consideration needs to be given because you have broken a number of phones.
Also, there is most likely a best buy near every major shopping area, why not go there and purchase the insurance policy for $15 a month. It's cheaper than having to buy a new phone every other day.
Not that I condone what the accused employee said, but having worked retail I can definitely related to his feelings, as customers thing the person behind the counter or working the floor can bend the rules.
Best of luck with your pursuit of customer bliss.

Well to answer multiple questions and please let me know if I missed your somewhere in this answer. I am legally blind, not totally blind. I have no vision in my left eye and only center vision in my right..this means no peripheral vision in my right. Unless something is directly in front of me, I won't see it until I move my head in that direction. So if I directly stare at my great TV, I can watch it in clarity, and when I put a blu-ray movie into the playstation 3it, it's even better.

We earn a combined total of 812K a year, and if that pisses you off...just wait...my domestic partner and I own a 2009 Mercedes Benz CLS 550. Which really doesn't matter since we both worked hard to get where were at.

Yeah, I have broken a few iphones, but I can afford to buy them, if you can't...get a better job or a better education to afford one....LOL.

Did I miss anyone...I'm trying to remember. Oh yeah, I haven't ran into the TV yet, but did stub my toe on it once trying to fix the one speaker. I can't roll my sofa around the living room floor, so there's no worry about me running into it or running it over with my office chair. Don't fear either..it's pretty cold here in New England, so I won't put it in my pocket and jump into the swimming pool...lol.

what really amazes me most about people here, and that doesn't mean all of you, so don't take offense..is when someone asks for advice and they give a bunch of juvenile answers. Oh WTF. Grow up and get a life. Things happen every single day. This event happened to me and I was looking for feedback and trying to possibly spare someone from losing their job and having to go on unemployment and welfare to support their family and be another burden on an already screwed up system.

Set for a meeting tomorrow with ATT management and my attorney, we'll see what the final outcome of this situation is. I'm going to ask for a public apology in the store, then have the gentleman terminated. I believe this will teach him to talk to people with a little more respect.

Damn what do you and your domestic partner do? Strictly asking out of curiosity and possibly a future career choice.

If you are trying to avoid causing someone to loose his job, my recommendations would be to go to the store talk with the manager and employee. Then you and the employee go for a cup of coffee, talk over what happened. share a little bit about yourself, your experience that you have had with your limited eyesight.
I would be willing to bet that this person would actually be intrigued with your (for lack of a better word) handicap. Its very tough for a person with vision to understand life from your stand point.
Then ask the person what drove them to make the remarks they did. I am sure they regret making them but may have been a situational reaction.
I think talking with them would be the best education the person can have. Getting them fired will only would have the potential of increasing a bias toward people with any handicap.
I guess the question I would have is do you want punish the person to teach them a perceived life long lesson of pain increasing the potential of future disrespect or help the person appreciate and understand something for a lifetime.

Just my thoughts.

Bruinsme, that is a very excellent idea. Thank you very much. I have a meeting with the employees and area manager at the store on Tuesday. Your is the most intelligent answer I have read on here...Bravo.

Gbadude, my domestic partner is a Cardiac Surgeon and I'm retired military and a senior unix administrator, so you can guess where most on the income comes from..LOL. If you pic a career path in life..go for physician..it pays a hell of alot more.

The reason you are getting alot of the repsonses you are is because you are telling people you are making 800k+ a year and can afford to buy multiple phones. Do you really need our advice if you can afford it? Look into your heart. Do you want to get the guy fired or not... seems like you have no real "need" to do anything about the situation...

Wow. Let it go. You are ***, blind, and obviously annoying as hell. I bet you get made fun of daily so stop picking a fight at the store becuase some part time worker made fun of you and I am willing to bet that it was becuase you made a scene about having to buy more iPhones when you break them. I have broken 4 since they have come out. I do not write threads complaining about how ATT SERVICE SUCKS BECAUSE I HAVE TO BUY A PHONE WHEN I BREAK IT!

No one has any time for people like you. You want attention to yourself and just becuase you live a miserable life, you try to bring down other people with you. Keep talking about how you make X amount per yet. Look at any other thread where the person asking isnt begging for attention or bragging and look how fast they get help.

I am sure inthebutt.com could help you better than this forum since you obviously don't have an iPhone issue. Just a iHateTheWorld issue.

Boxxa, don't be bitter...I surely am not. Opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one.

This will be my final reply to this thread, as a meeting between everyone has occurred and a resolution to this situation has been reached.

But before I get into that, I want to thank some of you for your help. You have been very knowledgeable in this matter. The rest who have nothing to say but negative remarks...go passionately fu*k yourselves.

Instead of typing a novel, I'll make this brief. After an apology from the employee, he was placed on a 2 week suspension, and if another complaint like this occurred, he would be fired. I was sold a 3G 16GB iphone for 499.00 plus tax with the agreement that this would be the last phone I could purchase under this plan.

My point to this, is that you, the consumer don't have to take **** from the corporate giants or their employees. You have a voice. You are what makes or breaks a business...especially in these tough economic times. I could have bought one from ebay or craigslist, but decided that I wasn't going to walk away, especially after the way I was treated. No matter how much money we make, always remember that we started on minimum wage and worked our way up.

After all this ******** that has happened, I'm waiting for my billing cycle to end and canceling the contract. All of this was done for the principle of the matter.

I know I promised this wasn't going to be long, but hey...when you have something to say, you have something to say. Take care and thanks for listening.
