Decision
Hey everyone i have a question...i am going to purchase an 3g iphone from a friend on this upcoming friday. My question is would it be better to jailbreak the phone and use a prepaid ATT sim or just wait til the dev team unlocks the phone and use it on tmobile? the 3g speeds really dont matter to me and i cant find a 1st gen iphone

You can use it on Tmobile if you unlock it and use the Tzone hack available in the Cydia launcher once you jailbreak.

You may want to use a pre-paid SIM until the unlock is out. The Dev Team is making good progress but no time line on when it will be safe and final for the public.

seems i got my 3g iPhone earlier than expected....now can someone direct me to the proper tools(links would be nice)....ive looked through the pwnage forum and it seems fairly confusing...as of right now i just want to jailbreak the phone so i can use a pre-paid ATT sim til the dev team unlocks the 3g fully....the phone is on firmware 2.1
