So, who here is a 'FAN' (on a Premiere account)?

I just found out about this FAN and premier account stuff and it is quite fascinating... Anyone know any feature codes that they have used within the past month? Tomorrow, I will attempt to add U200, which is supposed to give me a bonus 200 minutes. I've read on some forums that the reps will even go as far as to apply that to each line, which would give me a bonus 1000 minutes per month!

FYI, anyone that is in a union that is AFL-CIO (aren't they all AFL-CIO??) is eligible for a 10% discount as part of FAN. The FAN number is 00113662. All you need to bring with you is an ID and your union membership card. I was kind of pissed when I found out that AT&T offers a discount to the other hospital in town, but not the one that I work at, so I set out to find out how I could possibly become eligible for this.

I'd say you should quit your job and get a job at the other hospital. FAN means(Foundation Account Number) for those who don't know. It basically links you to that companies account for the purpose of getting additional benefits. So you'd call in and we'd see YOUR NAME on the acct. but at the bottom of our screens we'd see a FAN number attached.

This entitles you to whatever discount AT&T gives that company. It's a step under having a FULL BUSINESS acct. As far as I know you will not have a premier acct if you are linked to a FAN #. At my job only people who have access to the premier website are big companies that call and order in BULK.

Alot of people don't know they could get discounts from places they work. Such places include and are not limited to retail locations, govt. jobs, restaurants such as McDonalds, etc. You might want to check with a REP to see if your place of work is eligible. It may be a 5% discount but hey that pays for something. Yadadadamean?

By the way I forgot to mention that sometimes a BIG company such as Pfizer, Oracle, Microsoft, etc. could have a FAN number attached to them. Some people decide not to turn over their accounts to their company and prefer just the discount. In these cases you could be linked to a Microsoft FAN number even though the account pulls up as Joe Schmo. I believe their is a website for eligible company discounts: Did a quick google search and found it.

FYI : if you don't have success on the site you should still call and find out because the site may not update the new companies that are eligible.

I know that my school (Purdue) also gets a FAN discount. It is 20%. Both students and employees are eligible so it may be worth checking to see if your school gets one too. I also know that Indiana University students get 8% and I think staff and employees get 12%.

Started off as 22% under cingular, then after the ATT take over they offered me 27% off to switch to an ATT account.

you know whats funny.... us ATT mobility employees only get a 19% discount, coke gets 28%, fedex 22%, ups 25%, and many others. also just for your guys information, Universtiy of maryland system schools is the only college/college system that has an alumni discount. It happens to be the same as current employee or student there, 15%.


Also to everyone that goes into the store, dont forget to ask about your discounts on accessorie!!!!!! for example, 50% discount on accessories for our friendly USPS workers!!!!! So come on in an buy your stuff at att.
