I have a 2g iPhone and would like to change the imei number to an old phones imei. Please tell me how. I tried using ziphone and it only works with the 1.1.4 and older firmwares. what program? Thanks

Downgrade firmware, change imei, upgrade.

done that, but after the upgrade it reverts back to the original iphone IMEI...

Cant do it on 2.1....would have to use older 1.1.4

i concur CPJR !! I was able to modify the IMEI while i was on the 1.1.4 !

I have read that it is a bit intrusive to make this change on 2.x FWs...
Do you know the reasons? I heard it's hard to access that RAM block to make the mods

^^Basically its Apple tightening up with every firmware version as they learn what we are doing
