Swirlyspace MMS settings for AT&T on FW 2.1
I just wanted to edit this post and let everybody know that my MMS is still working as of 3/29/09 but for most of you it does not. I can only confirm that I can send and receive MMS messages while most people are still having issue with at&t. These settings work for me and they may or may not work for you.
MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80
Here is an attached link to pictures from my phone.!!!

man, I have tried so many different ways. This one did not seem to work either. I have 3g on AT&t and no luck.
i used to pray to the Lord every night and ask Him for a bicycle- but then i realized that God doesn't work that way, so I stole one and prayed for Him to forgive me...

My iPhone is the 3G iPhone. I did not add anything to my plan to get mms to work. I had originally called at&t and talked with a lady who had reset my service. It worked immediately and then stopped over night. I found these settings and tried them and they have worked ever since. I have a 3 line family plan with unlimited messages which includes the MMS. I have the iPhone data plan not media net pay as you go or mediamax or anything, just the iPhone data plan.

AT&T will do a system sweep within the next 3 days and tag your account as having an iphone IMEI and disable MMS. Report back on Thursday.

so i'm assuming we're leaving the APN, username and pw blank?
Either way I'm getting the "possible incorrect mmsc setting. Unexpected http response (HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden)" error.
I've been trying all day to get a csr to do anything for me, but all the ones I talk to seem educated about MMS and how they're not supposed to be on iPhones. They even discourage me from switching to a MediaMax plan or add pay per use. The say they won't let me do it because I will get overages as soon as I put my sim back in my iPhone.

So I got it to work.... finally. here's what i did. I called AT&T and told them my 3G iPhone was getting calls but not calling out, so could they reset my service. she told me they would force a signal to my iPhone to make it recieve calls again. (there was nothing wrong with my service but they dont know that). i turned off iPhone like she said, she did her little magic, i turned iPhone back on and called voicemail and acted like it worked and they fixed my problem. i then used these settings---
MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
no other info was added to other fields.
I DID NOT ADD THE :80 AT THE END OF THE PROXY LIKE THE POST SAID
the green "M" was on SwirlyMMS so I sent a MMS to my work phone and got it. i sent one from my iPhone to my work phone and after 20 minutes, i got the MMS sent from my iPhone. so, try this out and make sure you use the Thanks if it worked for you too.
i did not add anything to my plan. i have a family plan on unlimited everything for $99.99 a monthLast edited by bboysunz; 09-23-2008 at 12:35 AM. Reason: added last line

I just tried what you did, and it still failed. I called CS and he had me turn off my phone. What he told me was that he sent some "over the air updates" to my phone. I rebooted and played it off like i was able to dial out again. Did your settings but no go. I still get the Forbidden error.
*EDIT*
Forgot to mention I'm on a Family Plan (non iPhone) with the $30 Family Text Messaging (non iPhone) w/ unlimited text, mms, etc... and iPhone Data PlanLast edited by oo3; 09-23-2008 at 10:55 AM.

"Resetting the settings" on your account will work for a few days then will revert back after the next system sweep and you will get the "forbidden" message again.

@Poseidon79...We read your first post. All your posts say the same thing. I think we all got it after the first post...thanks!!! Until they do the sweep and block our phone from MMS let us freakin enjoy our MMS capabilities. Mine has worked since the day after the release of the program.

After trying since the release of SwirlyMMS to get it to work, finally it did. There was an update on Cydia to the initial release.....downloaded it, input the setting ( Original ones on this post) and after a few tries it works like a charm. I was ready to give up, but don't. I never had to call AT&T and I'm on a family messaging plan with iphone data plan.
