Default 3G vs. EDGE realworld tests

I was in downtown Atlanta, GA, and I did a bandwidth test twice: once on EDGE and once on the 3G.

I had full bars for each test.
for EDGE, i turned off the 3G on my iphone.
    The results:

    3G: 583.3 Kbps
    EDGE: 153 Kbps

This is very informal and I forgot to take a screen image but its a good FYI.

Ill try to take a screen capture image next time i run the test.

Thats about right from what I have noticed also, even tested with my 3G and my first-gen iphone side by side.

Thank god for 3G, I actually use the phone data capabilities now, Edge sucks!
