how can you unlock you iphone afte at&t realize you try to update and you want to update to 2.0 and they ask you for your number and your 4 sss digits

hummmmm I think you are asking a few things here
First what are you trying to updated? your phone or the firm ware?
if you are trying to update your phone to the 3G then it can not be unlocked YET.
So for that you will need to basically become a new ATT member OR buy one off of ebay but again kind of a waste if you are not on ATT because you can not unlock it.

If you are just talking about Firm Ware then you should not have a problem because they not need to know any of that info.
