I'm in DC and coverage is ok and when 3g works it works else. BUT... Randomly it will stop receiving data even though I have a signel. It pisses me off and I have to turn off 3g and activate edge.
Manteca, ca over here and all around us has 3G and on Saturday I was at the store and noticed my town got it. been 3G ever since 5 bars mostly even indoors I get 4-5 bars.
I'm downloading at 1.6 Mbps right now
yeah, I have an extra bar or two but i have learned that the number of bars has no relevance to the actual connection or speed i can connect at. I have gotten over 1Mb with 2 bars and no connection with 5 bars. Sometimes Edge is faster than 3G due to network overload.

I live in San Antonio and 3G coverage is great. Only place I have trouble is in the underground parking garage at work and I still get 4 bars of Edge coverage.
