    Default iPhone and AT&T

Hi there. this is my first post as I really need your help. I am about to buy an iPhone from ebay and the seller has sent me a receipt from a AT&T store, dating August this year...And he claims it's unlocked? It this any kind of strange to you? I tought that if you bought from AT&T stores you had to activate them...Is it possible to be really unlocked? Should I trust him?

    Thank you!

He may have unlocked it himself. No biggie. Just ask him.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

yes it is very possible for it to be unlocked. why dont you just try another sim card in it? if you do not want it unlocked hold down the home button and rest button on the top and when the screen goes black let go of the rest button and keep holding the home button until it tells you to plug it into itunes. Then just restore the firmware.

Thank you jam, but I think you misunderstood...I dont have it with me yet. I am about to make the payment but I needed to know if the "situation" was possible. It seems it actually is, so I'm getting a new toy
