iPhone plan options

hi, I'm planning to buy an iphone and I just wanted to know if I can get a plan that just has voice and Internet with no texting. I already have a plan with AT&T that is $50 a month with texting and voice, but I just want to get an iphone with voice and Internet for $50 a month. Is this possible? Thank.

P.S. I can text through email using the Internet anyways that is why I want to drop texting. All I do is send message to: (10 digit)[email protected]

unfortunatly there isn't an data feature for the iphone that doens't include texting. once you have an iphone imei on your account you only have 3 data packages to choose from

the options are:
Iphone data + 200 msg's $20
Iphone data + 1500 msg's $35
Iphone data + unl msg's $40

these are put on with your minute plans which are
450 - $40
900 - $60
1350 -$80
unl. - $100

your plan right now is probably:
450 min $40
400 msg 1mb internet $10

so you would have to pick one of the above packages to replace the $10 media basic

...unless you are on prepaid.

side note though.

att does offer unlimited family text for 29.99 which can include up to 5 lines on a family plan. fIf you have that already just do the $20 package

You don't even have to use the iPhone data plan.

I don't, i have unlimited data.

If you use a normal plan with unlimited data it's cheaper.
Also, then you can use ZiPhone to change you IMEI and send MMS(Change IMEI before using the phone)

Just:
1) Buy your new iPhone!
2) Call AT&T and add the unlimited data
3) Jailbreak/avtivate and Change your iPhone IMEI to whatever your current phones IMEI is (*#06# will show you your IMEI) with ZiPhone.
4) Just put your current SIM in your iPhone.

Viola! CHEAPER and you can send MMS with SwirlyMMS!

The only thing you lose is Visual Voicemail. It is cool but it's not worth the $5. I don't ever get voicemails anyways. The alerts that you have voicemail work fine, when you hit the voicemail button it calls your voicemail like any other phone.

Hi, I just subscribed to this website. Just bought an unlocked/jailbroken iPhone, 16g with 114. I have already used my phone for calls and text....is it possible to still change my IMEI # with ZiPhone? And how do i get ZiPhone? Sorry, i'm a total novice at this. Just got an iPhone when i broke my Blackberry Curve. Have the unlimited data plan with that. Any ideas for me?

do you need to unlock the phone 1st, or just jailbreak it? and i assume you "activate" it w/ ziphone...correct?

nope, it is $5 a month and from my understanding you need an iphone plan to get it. but i may be wrong. there may be a patch or fix for it.
