Can you update the iphone 4 (jailbroken) to ios 6?

My iphone is an iphone 4 firmware 04.08.11 its currently running on ios 5.0.1 and its unlocked and jailbroken (t-mobile) i was wondering how could i update it to the ios 6 without loosing the unlock

Gonna have to perserve the baseband with snow breeze. But 6.0.1 will be tethered just a heads up

so is it possible or not? I dont really know what tethered means but I do have a Iphone 4 with t-mobile at 4.2.1 version and i simply cant download a lot of apps.. thats the main reason id like to update without losing the tmobile service i think i have it with ultra gevey sim or whatever
