    Default GPS not working
First of all, I have had my phone for less than a month so I'm new using iphone.

I bought it I jailbroken myself using sn0wbreeze-v2.9.1, it installed cydia and other stuff so I'm currently using Tmobile 4g monthly prepaid $30, I have internet (slow but working), texts and phone calls working.

I have an iphone 3gs version 5.0.1 modem firmware 06.15.00.

I have tried several different paid & free gps software without success. it always sasy poor reception, no reception, or 75 to 210 yards approximate.

Is there a way that I can fix this?

I have red forums and used google but I haven't been able to find an answer.

I really like to use my phone as gps too.

    Regards.

You've got the iPad baseband. The GPS issue cannot be fixed & you cannot revert back to an earlier baseband.

    Your stick with it.

Yup. iPad baseband has a GPS issue. I tried looking for a workaround, but you're pretty much screwed. At least you're unlocked. lolol

Will there be a solution in the future to this problem?

Is this problem because jailbreak? Tmobile? iPhone hardware?

    Regards.

You'd have to tweet the likes of MuscleNerd for that answer, good luck on a reply.

The problem is not the jailbreak or T-mobile, it's the use of the iPad bb. Something about flashing a baseband from another type of device to the iPhone just does this, I'm sure someone else can get more technical about the details than I can.

As for a future solution...don't hold your breath. You can't downgrade from the baseband, so you'd have to rely on upgrading past that baseband. Seeing as how the actual iPhone baseband is currently at 5.xx I don't see it surpassed 6.15.00 any time soon. Especially when it's likely Apple will discontinue further firmware updates (possibly soon...) on the 3GS like it did for the 3G and 2G models already.
