3g speed

Hi my phone is a 3g, unlock and jail broke on t-mobile. I only get edge speed i have version 4.0 (8A293). Is it possible to get 3 or 4g speed? when I try to send text with pictures I geta message telling me that tmobile servies is unable to send the picture or receive it. Is there something I can do to correct it. on tmobile i have these services:
Unlimited Loyalty
Unlimited whenever minutes® Change plans
Unlimited weekend minutes
Unlimited weeknight minutes

aha tmobile and ATT have different 3G bands so it is impossible to get 3g on tmobile iPhone

add Cydia.pushfix.info to your repos to fix the mms problem. In that repo you'll find the tmobile mms.
