How to make T-Mobile Sim work with Iphone 3G
So sorry to make this thread but i have try to search but i can't find the topic show how to make t-mobile sim work with my phone
I had Iphone 3g unlock firmware 4.1 , i used resn0w to jailbreak it .I just bough a new phone and i decide to give the iphone 3g for my sister, i put the t-mobile sim in but it's not finding any network . I just want to unlock somehow to make the phone can call by using T-mobile Sim , do'nt want any internet or message , please show me or any other things relate to it or how to unlock it .. Please i really need your help

Your baseband is probably at 5.14.xx which isn't unlockable at this time.
You'll need to update the bb to 6.15.00 with redsn0w. Be aware that doing this will disable GPS and currently there is no fix for it. Google maps will still work, but an actual GPS app won't.
Edit: check the bb (aka modem firmware version). If it is 5.14.xx, check your bootloader. Use f0recast to check. If it is 5.8, you can downgrade the bb to unlock rather than upgrading it. This is better to retain GPS function. If you don't have 5.8, then upgrading the bb is the only option. Once you upgrade the bb you can't downgrade it.Last edited by i.Annie; 02-22-2011 at 08:41 PM. Yes, the GPS will be disabled as mentioned above.
Wifi is fixable simply by restoring and rejb, the GPS cannot be fixed at this time.
