T-Mobile Edge Settings - internet2.voicestream.com Not Working

Quick question -

I activated the 19.99 total internet package with t-mobile the other day, followed the instructions from this site to the T, and i still get "NO EDGE subscription" when i try to use the internet from internet2.voicestream.com. Does anyone have any suggestions to get t-mobile edge working?

i have tried wap.voicestream.com, but the speed is like t-zones (which i used to have before upgrading to 19.99 a week ago) than full blown edge. also, i don't know how to configure the gateway IP and port. do i have to go in through cyberduck and modify a preferences.plist type file?

if you use wap.voicestream.com -- you asking your phone to go thru slower t-zones

when u set internet2.voicestream.com you going full blown edge .

try this delete the edge settings like remove the Wap.voicestream or inter2 ... remove user and password make everything bank. Power cycle your phone now go and put internet2.voicestream.com in your EDGE if this doesn;t work ! There is nothing wrong on the phone m sure something on t-mobile end sometimes the EDGE Setting doesn't stick in your provisoning just call them they will check it for you just tell them to make sure everything on their end is working !

when i put in my apn and such it did not work at first, i am using tzones however but when i went back to the EDGE settings i noticed that the phone put Guest in as username and password and i had to backspace them

dude ur APN is correct...u just need the right preference.plist to make magic happen. i cant post it here bcuz i've already posted it in my last thread...the link is listed below.

how fast is full blown edge? can you get me the speed from iphone network test?

Fyi, I got my Iphone to work with T-mobile Flexpay Total Internet ($19.99/mo) by setting up APN under Edge settings to: internet3.voicestream.com

I was told this by T-mobile tech support- data services for other carrier's phones.

internet2.voicestream.com works with my other Iphone on regular T-mobile contract plan with Total Internet.

No just put "wap.voicestream.com" in the line that says APN. "Internet2.voicestream.com" is kind of a secondary setting.

in order to use an edge internet plan on iphone 2.2 version unlocked G2.
first you need to choose A $24.99 blackberry plan from tmmbile
then set APN : wap.voicestream.com

*if it did not work, download app.from cydia or installer (under tweaks - file called: "tmobile at edit" for iphone. )

tmobile canceled the tzone plan last yr. nov.2008 and now they replaced it with limited internet plan called : web2go in 2009

^ You do not need a blackberry plan to get edge on an iphone. You could get any data plan with tmobile and your edge will work. Most people are doing the 50-100mb plan since tmobile hasn't actually recording data usage on anyone's bill.
