blackrain not working... please help

hey guys i restore my 3g because it was failing on me where it would reboot every 10 seconds. so i restore my phone back to 3.1.2 again but when i run blackrain it goes through it process of making it rain and at the end it tells u that its jailbroken. but its not cause i cant fing the blackrain icon anywhere... please help... is there any other jailbreak i could use to jailbreak 3.1.2?

Redsn0w 0.9.4 will do it. If you have an official SIM to activate with, Spirit is really fast and good for 3G phones. Jailbreakme.com also works for phones with official carrier SIM. if you don't have the SIM, redsn0w 0.9.4 is the way to go.

Why don't you just make a custom bundle and get on 4.2.1?

Any iOS 4 is rather laggy on iPhone 3G. Sure, you could go that route to 4.2.1 since it is improved compared to 4.0.x, but 3.1.x is the most optimized version for that device. I would recommend staying there.
