need help with iphone 3g

my phone is acting up right now. i have an iphone 3g running blacrain and now the phone is rebooting itself every 10 seconds or its either respring itself every 10 to 20 seconds. battery alson not charging.. what could it be... now its on the screen with the little wheel moving in circle...

yeah its on 3.1.2... so now it just reboots itself.. is this common?

Yup, sounds like a restore is needed. You can restore to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. Stay away from blackra1n again though. Use jailbreakme.com or redsnow 0.9.4
