My whole family upgraded to the iP4, both ATT and T-Mobile can replicate the "death grip" issue, but it isn't an issue for me. I am left handed as well, but it all depends on how you hold the phone. If you use a case then you wont have any issues at all. Its a great device, and well worth the upgrade imho. Although keep your 3gs, i've had friends that go back due to the death grip issue.

One last thing, if the phones are on 4.1+ they wont be able to be unlocked for a few more weeks.

    A. you have to have the newer t-Mobile sim (Smaller gold contacts on the sim). Most stores will give you a new one for free if you complain about poor service, but worst case its 20$.

    B. many people use scissors, but since you will be using a few phones, i'd recommend the Micro sim-cutters available online. I purchased mine on ebay for about 5$'s shipped. There is an article about one reviewed from one of the mods of ModMyi and was a featured story/giveaway, thats the one I bought on ebay, since theres a revision 2 with rubber holders, the revision 1 sells for insanely cheap, for the same end product. (I believe it is the Noosy Micro Sim Cutter)

The Noosy sim cutter is in fact the best. I just purchased one on eBay for ~8$ shipped (came with 2 adapters) I cut my sim card and used the adapter to put the sim back into my iPhone 3G. Now I have it cut and am waiting until a newer baseband unlock comes for the iPhone 4 so I can purchase it

    Thanks!
