Default If I have the T-Mobile $10 Phone First Web...

which was the cheapest internet plan they had that can only work on cheap t-mobile phones, is their a way I can use the internet using an unlocked iPhone? I plan on getting an iPhone very soon and I would like internet on it but don't want to pay for the $30/month plan with T-Mobile. So is there a way to do this? Please let me know.

    anyone?

Tzones or "WEB2GO" Plans are what you are looking for. Call them from a non iphone to set up the data, then, put your sim back in your iphone and play with some of the settings until you can get it right.

Thank you! Also is there a point in me getting 3gs over the 3g? Because the internet I will be using is EDGE either way right?

Right, but the overall performance of the two devices differ greatly. If it were up to me, I'd spend a little more on the 3GS because the performance is greatly improved for that device.

true. the response is greater on the 3GS. the UI is fluid and there's less snags to come across if you buy the right type. if you can't do enough research on a 3GS, then i suggest a 3G.

I usually tell others that the iPhone is not just a phone, it's a miniature computer. There are many obstacles that will be in your way, so unless you have time to sit down for a few hours to read and gather information, go for the 3G.

The iPhone 3G is not fantastic on iOS 4 even with speed tweaks. If that's the case, do the research on 3GS. It isn't that complicated anymore like it was back before 4.1. All you need to know is learn how to save SHSHs and be sure to purchase a device that has an unlockable baseband if the unlock is necessary. The same goes for a 3G, the device can't have already have been on 4.1. The only large diff is that the 3G firmware can be downgraded to 3.1.x without SHSHs. Not that great of a benefit to purchase a 3G over a 3GS.
