Is it worth upgrading

My iPhone 3gs is running 4.01 and is jailbroken/unlocked running T-Mobile.
Is it worth updating my iPhone 3GS to 4.1 with the jailbreak + unlock?

My camera shutter isn't opening... I'm thinking I should upgrade to 4.1 which might solve the camera camera problem.

Dont know if it will fix your issue, but if you do decide to go to 4.1 make sure you do it with a custom 4.1 made with pwnage tool or sn0wbreeze so that you will still be able to unlock after the restore.

How do I go about making a custom 4.1?

You still need to install ultrasnow after to unlock.

I tried restoring 4.01 earlier and iTunes wouldn't let me. Will I have the same problem with 4.1 since it isn't the latest update?

You get that error when you dont have SHSH for that firmware.

How do you get the SHSH for the firmware?

You would have to have saved them or pressed make my life easier in cydia when 4.1 was the current firmware available.

Yup. You should use tiny umbrella just to confirm what SHSH you have.
