Prepaid iPhone help.

So, I've been wanting an iPhone for the past cou... since they've been out. AT&T just can't win me over with their plans, everyone knows that it isn't great. Anyway, I've had my mind on buying an iPhone 3G S, since they are cheaper than the iPhone 4s right now. I want to set it up with T-Mobile's $50 month prepaid thing.

Unsupported Browser

I understand I'll have to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone, but I kind of want an "A-OK" from someone with experience before I spend $250 on an iPhone.
Could someone like... Guide me with this?

Google for jolt mobile, there is a local store in my area. They works on locked iPhone 4. I can't tested on 3GS since the sim is already cutted

I have a 3Gs on the Pay As You Go plan. Works flawlessly. Had to enable MMS with guides found at MMI though.

I'm on the $30/month plan with an iPhone 3G right now (3GS is on its way) and it works fine. I'm on wifi a majority of the time so I use barely any data, I just like having push notifications for my apps. :P
