Default Couple Questions For iPhone 4 Owners On T-Mobile

I've been a loyal Apple customer for years. I own multiple iPads, iPhones, iPods and an iMac. However, I've never had this many problems with an Apple device. I can't figure out if I just have a faulty phone or if the 4 just isn't meant to work on T-Mobile.

I've had temperature warnings from my phone, very random signal loss, sim card errors, mms errors of course. I mean, it's just a constant struggle with this phone. I'm a mobile device tech so I work on iPhones all day and I find it hilarious I can't get my own personal device to function properly. Even after restores, re-jailbreaking and unlocking, etc. I always wind up with a problem. I don't use many jailbreak apps so I can't attribute really any of my problems to that. Especially after testing with or without them.

Really, my questions is just to find out how many people are having issues like this? Or any at all? I see a lot online about specific issues...but do any of you have multiple problems at random? I mean, I can use my phone for weeks at a time without issue, then all of a sudden problems arise. It blows my mind. I love this phone but I'm seriously considering going back to a 3Gs. I could get my 4 replaced but then I'll have to wait for a new jb/unlock. Honestly, just looking for some opinions and experiences from iPhone 4 users on T-Mobile.

I used to have the exact same problems. my iPhone 4 would randomly restart, loose signal, my mms only worked as long as i didnt restart my phone, and if i had to restart then I would have to reinsert my sim card. Did you restore your iPhone from backup when you set it up? I restored my phone to 4.0.1 then DID NOT restore from back up when I set it up. The iPhone 4 just doesnt seem to like being restored from an older iPhone.

I have an ip4 on t-mobile, other than the random "sim failure" which comes up 25% of the time i restart, the phone works flawlessly.

Did you use a cutter for your sim? or did you use scissors? I used scissors the first time, and the phone did not like it. It would drop service left and right, mms would fail randomly, sim failure was about 75% of the time when restarting. But after replacing the sim, and using an actual cutter, the phone has been working flawlessly.

Hopefully the new iPhone 4 unlock will be out within a week, so you can try having it replaced.
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!

Ya, I've tried both ways. Restoring from backup and doing a complete clean restore then just setting everything up manually. Nothing seems to give me reliable everyday use. There just doesn't seem to be much info from other everyday users. I'm not sure if I have a buggy phone or just using the 4 on T-Mobile is hit and miss at the moment.
