    Default 3G Firmware Question?

My son's 3G is on 4.1 would upgrading to the newer firmware make it run better or worse?

I do have shsh saved all the way to 4.0

so what should i do downgrade to 4.0 or upgrade to 4.2.1

also his phones is presently locked waiting for new Ultrasnow.

what should i do to get his phone working better?

    Thanks

I would drop the phone back down to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3, but if that is not an option then look on these forums for posts that help you remove language packs and launch daemons. It will speed up the phone.

You can update to 4.2.1, but it probably wont improve speed to much. My recommendation is to use redsn0w to update the baseband while on 4.1 to ensure an unlock, then downgrade down to 3.1.3 (you don't need shsh files for a 3g downgrading to 3.x)

Check the dev team blog, and read through the comments for more information
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
