sn0wbreeze will not work for new bootrom 3GS
Do you have itunes 10 installed?
I read up on error 37 and it seems it may be caused by a firewall or antivirus. Disable these when you try the restore. You will also need to use redsn0w again to put it in dfu.
Do you have zonealarm installed by any chance?Last edited by Simon; 11-06-2010 at 08:18 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Ya when I googled that error I found a whole thread of people on the apple forum with that issue and the constant was all of them had zonealarm. Just disable that then try the steps again and you should be fine.

You are probably just stuck in dfu. Hold the home and power button together for 30seconds to a minute and see if you get the apple logo.

Error 21 is a usb problem I believe. You can try a different usb slot (or even a different computer if you can) and try the process again.
You can also check here on some solutions for error 21: Blosmo.com: How To Fix iTunes "Error 21" For iPhone and iPod touch
Did you try holding down power and home button for at least 30 seconds with the device connected to your computer to get out of dfu?

Well finally got it to work, but not the custom 4.1. I tried everything and didn't work. Ended up having to go back to regular 4.1. Now gotta wait for the unlock

So there's no way to downgrade the baseband in 4.1 and unlock it in the mean time? Pretty much have to wait? Also if I did try the custom file again, would it still keep ku current baseband?

No there is no way. You are stuck now until the unlock comes out.
