iPhone 3gs Data usage issue

Hi i have a 3gs running 3.1.3 jailbroken and unlocked on tmobile. I was wondering how to disable data completely, because i've tried everything i could think of (fake APN, calling tmobile to disable it, sbsettings)So i was wondering if anyone has a solution to block data completely. It would help me out a lot, Thanks. Oh btw i heard that if i update to 4.0 then it has a better option to block data, is that true? I just want to be sure before i do it. Thanks again.

If you jb you can turn off your data with sbsettings.

Edit: that shouldn't incur any charges cuz it's off.

Edit 2: try iphonenodata.com on your phone

That only disables edge/3g and i heard that those are only data enhancers, so data is still running. And SBsettings failed for me :[

Update to ios4. It has a data switch in settings
