Default Help: New Voice-Mail Every Time Phone is Turned On

Every time I turn on my unlocked iphone 3GS (with T-mobile of course) it says I have a voice-mail, but when I got to check my voice messages, it says I don't have any. It does this even on a hard reset. It is terribly annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks...

Has been discussed many times and a simple search will provide a few threads on the matter. In short, you have an older version sim card and need to purchase a new sim card. They are usually $20 from a T-Mobile store but sometimes they will give you a new one for free.

I did try doing a search but didn't want to spend hours sifting through countless threads, so I figured I'd just ask. So thanks...

Okay, can someone post an answer that doesn't require a payment of some sort?

Why not try the tmobile store for a free one? I've never had to pay for one.

The reason everyone is saying het a new sim is because that's the solution.

Go to a retail T-Mobile store, and tell them your sim card is faulty. (not detecting voicemails properly)

They will replace it for free, as long as something doesn't work properly
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
