Tmobile 3g frequency for iPhone
Just a real quick question. I understand that the iphone operates its 3g signal at a different frequency, and that's why you can't use tmobile's 3g internet. But i'm curious how that frequency is changed. Is it a firmware thing, or a hardware thing?
Just wondering how that works and if i'll be able to use tmobile's 3g internet one day.
Thanks

Ive been reading about this a lot as well. Some people say its a hardware fix, and some say its a software fix. I guess it depends on the chip in there if it is capable of receiving 1700MHz or not. Also, some say apple maybe have left the 1700MHz signal out of the specs... I would like to know as well...

Strictly hardware. If there was a software fix it would have been out 2 years ago.
