3.1.3 3GS Tmobile, What do I need??
Hi, I have had my iphone for a while but recently had to restore and I cant remember all the essential downloads when using on Tmobile. I remember some sort of carrier pack and a few others. Also what do I need to get my MMS to work?
My internet is working now and I havent added anything to the APN? weird, i thought I had to type something in there to make it work.Last edited by Newiphone27; 07-14-2010 at 06:14 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Go to cydia and search for "t-mobile us postpaid/flexpaid" and download the first result. Then go to settings-general-reset-reset network settings

You have to have the latest iTunes installed. Then plug in your iPhone to your computer through USB, go to settings and enable tethering.

No, when you plug in your phone, hit cancel before it syncs. Then right click your phone and choose "transfer purchases." it'll take a while. Then select "backup"
After that you can sync with no problems

awesome. Thank you for your knowledge. I have another question, I have added many emails but now when i go to add another email, the settings closes on me once i get to the screen where i would add the email info.Any thoughts on this? I am now having to check my yahoo mail via safari. I just restored this phone and added all the apps I wanted back and do not want to do again if I dont have to.
some apps didnt sync such as backgrounder. Is this something to be concerned about when syncing my iphone?Last edited by Newiphone27; 07-18-2010 at 06:12 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

All cydia apps will not sync to iTunes because they are 3rd party apps. If you download apt backup from cydia, it will save a list of your apps
How many accounts do you have anyway, there might be a limit

Yes, you need to open the app and select "backup" - then go to iTunes and backup your phone. The only thing this will do is save a list of cydia apps you have. So if you ever restore, you have to go back to cydia, download the program again and select "restore"
