iPhone 3gs on Tmob with data?
Okay, I finally gave in to the iphone when I found out you could put em on prepay t-mobile, now after a bunch of reading my question is What is the ideal setup?
I want to have data, and dont mind paying the extra $10 or whatever a month, and ideally I want unlimited errrr thing.
Do I just pick up a prepaid sim pack from the tmob store or do I need something else?
And what is the best plan to setup?
I've been searching a bunch to try and figure this out, I understand I'm going to have to unlock it, which I have access to an ATT activated sim from an phone already, and I think I have to revert to an older iOS (phone is on 4) to do that?
Thanks in advance, I appreciate all you smart kids on this site alot.

You cannot get the $10 data plan on prepaid. All data plans require a postpaid voice plan. The minimum voice plan is $29.99. If you want data on prepaid your only option is by getting the sidekick data plan, but you will need to access a proxy and some sites require payment.

So that means I could use one of the no-contract plans then too? If I went that route what is the best way to do so? (I ask because I see and have been reading about the phone specific data plans, do I need to get one for a specific phone?)
is this the best way to go?

If you want unlimited everything, then that's absolutely the best way to go. Voice, data & text will work on the iPhone

Yeah sorry my play on our country not being united as one made that confusing. I am in the USA.
If I can "slide to unlock" does that mean I'm ready to drop in a tmobile sim or do I have to wait for a new jailbreak to drop for me to unlock this phone for tmobile?

When you "slide to unlock" do you see an app called "Cydia?"

Lol I don't have a tmobile sim yet because I didn't want to start a plan and have it unusable and be paying money. Why don't you have ALL the answers? ;-)

Well if you're on 3.1.2 you have nothing to worry about as it is fully unlocked for the 3GS. Double check by going to Settings - General - About - Version #

I am on the 4.0. That's the problem. The prev owner had it on a jb 3.1.2 And updated to 4 and wiped it when he sold it. Unfortunate, guess I'll find a tmobile sim to drop in and try.

If you have the old bootrom there's hope for you. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until the next jailbreak is released which will probably be when 4.0.1 is released
