Any word on iPhone 4 unlock/jailbreak??!

Just curious if anyone knows any updated information about the jailbreak/unlock of the iPhone 4.

Maybe something on Twitter (as I am not a member), or something that MMi hasn't posted in the news (which is hard to believe because almost EVERYTHING is up there).

Just anxious to get my iPhone 4 running on Tmobile.

please don't kill me for asking this....there is a difference between unlocking 4.0 OS and unlocking the iPhone 4 right? I'm on a 3GS running 3.1.2 (blackra1n unlocked) and I'm confused about my options at this point. I'm in no hurry just curious...

Yea the iOS 4 is different from the iPhone 4. They have to find a new way to "break" into the phone. The new iPhone has a new baseband and a new bootloader, which require a different "language" for jailbreak/unlock. The jailbreak will come soon, but the unlock may take a bit more.

But iOS 4 has been unlocked for 3GS iphones with the old bootloader

ALL iPhones outside of the U.S. will be sold unlocked, including Canada. So as long as they have a jailbreak solution soon enough, I'm happy. :-)

Well.....sorta.... You are being misleading with your simple, absolute statement about the unlock for 3GS iphones with the old bootloader. What you are omitting is the absolute, essential part about having the previous jailbreak SHSH blobs on file. Without this element, THERE STILL IS NO JAILBREAK FOR THE 3GS NO MATTER WHAT BOOTROM YOU HAVE.

Correct. You needed to have your SHSH on file on 3.1.2

waiting here also for the windows pwn tool....

not sure if any one cares but you can use the tool from ih8sn0w.com called sn0wbreeze to jailbrake + unlock for windows. there's like 50++ items and steps to be sure and checked but i'm ok and can post any SS for prof if need be.

also just follow the tools they gave and build an IPSW (how ever you spell it) and restore that IPSW and your golden. Note YMMV
